Stephanie Cox
is the CEO of National Ski Patrol (NSP). Since
1957, NSP has been instructing ski patrollers and other search and rescue
personnel in avalanche safety. This makes it one of the oldest and most
experienced providers of avalanche education. As CEO of NSP, Stephanie is
deeply passionate about avalanche safety and is committed to using her
unique mix of experience to drive innovation, education, technology, and social
impact in the industry. As a globally recognized leader and
award-winning entrepreneur with extensive experience leading international
nonprofits as well as technology and consumer goods companies. Her career
credits include: Executive Director, World Child Cancer US; Founder, The
Level Market, a B2B global marketplace for aid supplies; COO of Nokero
International, a solar lighting start up; Vice President, Development and
Marketing at iDE; and Editor-in-Chief at the Council of State
Governments. Her awards include: the UK’s Nominet Trust Everyday Tech Hero
2016, and COBizMag Entrepreneur of Year Runner Up 2018. She also holds an M.A. in International
Economic Development from the University of Denver as well as a B.A. in
Literature from George Mason University. Originally from Virginia, she
has lived in Colorado for 24 years and is passionate about skiing, mountain
biking, and climbing with her teenage daughter.
